A simple 2-panel comic strip. I recall the idea came from a comment at Albert Park Lake. Something about the local swans not being monogamous.Although ‘monogamy’ technically means ‘being married to one person’ and swans do not technically marry. (..Never mind my grammar quibbling..)

Also, handmade and coloured with markers. I find that coloured pencils digitally scan better than markers or highlighters. Fluorescent markers get very distorted, so it’s quite frustrating.

During down-time (e.g. virus lockdown), I’ve found it useful to re-assess my priorities and things I’m thankful for. Hard to strike a balance, maybe? Even if one doesn’t have many ‘things’, it’s OK to be thankful for the absence of ‘things’ that we really don’t want. Namaste.(Family/friend drama, addiction, abuse, a mortgage, etc.)

I often wonder about the abundance of dust, so it seems fitting to articulate it.Written in early 2020, just after social distancing restrictions were imposed in Melbourne. Working from home and being puzzled about dust mites. I coloured these backgrounds with Prismacolor markers. Some comics are coloured pencil. I find colour more satisfying than black&white

I created this second comic of Batch 2 with coloured markers only. I find that digital scanners do not read/interpret colours properly sometimes. (Especially fluorescents or glitter).It’s bad comedic form to ‘explain’ a joke.
