No socially hyper-sensitive disclaimers or explanation needed here, I suppose.
But here is a handy link to ‘Why Does the Sun Shine / The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas’ performed by They Might Be Giants from their early 90’s heydey.
With paper-cutout animated cats for extra ..science learning. It’s uplifting. Please listen.

In reference to the opioid crisis / ‘epidemic’.

My intention here is not to poke fun at addicts, but to examine many people’s chage in attitude to drugs that a doctor prescribes. The high is OK if a doctor signs off on it.
I first overheard this ‘opiates-are-amazing’ perspective
from a co-worker in an office several years ago.
And I realise that the ‘Hunter Thomson‘ reference is quite dated now,
but he was a classic archetype of the enthusiastic drug advocate.

Articulating a message is a tricky tightrope. A message can be critical, of course, and some people may be upset or offended by it … but a message should not be designed to hurt. Ultimately, we can’t control how another person will perceive our message, but we can shape our content before we transmit that ‘signal’. A little meditation.

I think the idea of ‘audience’ is very interesting, especially in a digital context.
Without the traditional stage/performers/audience, the experience is quite disembodied and vague. Like performing in an empty theatre, maybe?

I’m very new to WordPress, so this will be Neo Dullard’s home. I have also recently created an Instagram account (@neo_dullard), because hmm.. I’m not sure how else to draw an audience? How to, like, be noticed? (Australian rising intonation / Valley girl)
